INK AND AIRBRUSH ON RE-USED, OLD PAPER
FRAMED 30 x 40
In medieval times, the palimpsests were pergaments that were washed and re-used for new writings. They contained, thus, successive layers, echoes of gone times.
These are my palimpsests, a collection of old sheets of paper that I once found in an abandoned house. Imaginary creatures that I've drawn populate them now. I look through their lenses back in time and I create bridges between worlds: that of the present, that of my imagination and the one that has already passed. I invite the viewer to look through into my world. And to add one more layer to the story of my palimpsest.
